On today's run, I ran the same route as my last run, but this time with my mum. I was quite excited for this run because I wanted to see if I could run further into Sai Kung than my last run. This time I was able to run to the goal that I originally set, which I wasn't able to do last time. The only things that worried me about this run was the fact that there was an uphill part to the run that was quite long and steep and last time I ran up the hill, i found it quite challenging. But from my last experience, I learned that if I just ran up it at my own pace I can run up the entire hill without stopping.
I was able to run quite easily until I got to 5km. Once I had run that distance I began to get quite tired but decided to continue running so that I can reach my originally running goal of 8km. Once my mum and I reached our house we had ran 7km but we both wanted to run 8km so we continued on past our house to reach 8km. While we were running this part, I felt that I still had enough energy to continue running so I decided to continue running until 10km so I could reach my running goal of my project. My mum stopped running at 8km so I ran on without her. Once I reached 9km I was extremely tired and began to want to stop running but since I was so close to 10km I kept on running. At this point in the run, I had to run quite slowly so I didn't take breaks. Once I had reached 10km, I felt that I couldn't run any further, so I had to walk the rest of the way until I reached my house.
Now that I have completed my running goal, I want to start trying different types of runs. This would include running based off of time and running shorter distances but at a faster pace so I can try improve my average pace when running.
