Running Blog Entry #12

So far this week I have not been able to go on a run because I have had rugby training and other outside of school activities until late in the night. Because of my schedule I will not be able to go on a run until possibly next week Tuesday as that is the first day where I don't have any activities until late. Although I have not been able to go on a run, during the rugby trainings we have been doing alot of running and short distance sprinting. I feel like this type of training will help me with my next runs as I am practicing and trying to improve my long distance running pace. Once I get more comfortable with doing the sprinting during my trainings, I will be able to incorporate the skills that I have learnt with sprinting into long distance running to help further increase my pace.


I have noticed that when I am not running I have had an increasing amount of energy throughout the day, especially around the time that I have been going on previous runs, which is around 5-6pm. Because I have been having an increasing amount of energy, it has made me often crave to go on runs even more then before.

Having more energy has really helped improve my mental health as I have more energy to do school work which helps my stress levels go down, and because I dont have anymore work to do, I have been having more time to relax, which is another way that my mental health has improved.
